Public Service Commission

The National Assembly Departmental Committee on Labour Vice-Chairperson Hon. Fabian Kyule has pledged to support the Commission’s budgetary needs to execute its constitutional mandate. He said this during the Committee visit to the Commission House to assess the budgetary needs for the fiscal year 2025/2026 on 16th May 2025. 

“As a committee we are here to understand the Commission’s financial needs as part of the Parliament’s budgetary process,” said Hon. Kyule. 

Speaking in the same forum, the PSC Vice-Chairperson Ms. Mary Kimonye acknowledged the need for the Committee and Commission to continuously engage for purposes of accountability and serving the people. 

“The Commission is guided by values and principles of public service in Articles 10 of the Constitution. Therefore, we welcome this meeting as an accountability framework for the resources we get from the public,” said Ms. Kimonye. 

During the meeting, the Commission presented a budget and an overview of the financial reports for the resources allocated for the fiscal year 2024/2025, and justification for the budgetary requests for the upcoming financial year. 

Also in attendance were members of the Departmental Committee, PSC Commissioners Boya Molu, Francis Otieno, Francis Meja, Mwanamaka Mabruki, Harun Hassan, Irene Asienga, Secretary/CEO Paul Famba and members of secretariat.
